Sex Edition: Editor’s Note
Sex is a gloriously fun and complicated subject to dive into. But conversations about sex at Seattle Pacific University look different than conversations about sex at a secular, public university. The Falcon’s coverage of sex, at least in this edition, often revolves around the topic of sex policy, more specifically SPU’s policy of no-sex between unmarried partners.
The driving purpose behind having these awkward and hard conversations is not to give editors and writers at The Falcon a chance to wag our finger at the university and condemn it. Instead, my hope, and the hope of The Falcon staff, is that we highlight the tensions around sex at the university, whether or not that is an issue of policy or culture.
